My Dear Trimbach,
At this moment I have finished reading without pause your book American Indian Mafia. I am an American Indian, an Ojibway man and a keeper and protector of the sacred pipe.
I hope to write you again one day when my thoughts are more coherent. I am emotionally drained and barely able to speak. I am deeply moved and broken hearted by your book. It is hard to find the right words except to say thank you for your courage and your clarity.
Over the years I have refused many times to work with some of the very people you have named. Just looking them in the eye was an unclean experience. And over those same years I have seen what you have seen. I have always trusted the sacred of my elders to direct me and right now I feel so fortunate and blessed to have had their education, their humanity and clarity to guide me into a good life.... I believe what you have said. It is logical, and as you hope, appeals to common sense.
I am unable to say much more at this moment than to thank you for your tireless and important documentation. I wonder how your dreams have been and other foolish things that only wabeno people care about. The truth does count and my only prayer is that this work will be like corn and grow strong roots and bring more fruit of the truth into the minds of the people. For Indian people, this is a vitally important document.
I salute you and feel indebted to you on behalf of the innocent and the lost children of the mystery life waiting for us to wake up at last. I believe your work will help a great deal. After throughly reading "American Indian Mafia" by Joseph Trimbach and son, John... respectfully,
I am sad to say what resides within those book's pages should be enough to make one very sick
from the liberal, and I do mean liberal use of the laws and justice that is supposed to exist within
the United States and Canada.
What you will find in reality is, if you have Hollyweird friends with endless sums of money, you can
actually alter history with well placed lies by Pro AIM supporters, who have never even been near
the rez in their pampered, in most cases uneducated lives, except on a movie set.
Very few are Rhodes Scholars like Khris Krisofferson.
I take great offense to the do gooders from Hollyweird who've enabled AIM to destroy a township, good people's possessions, change historical accuracy, and ruin honest reputations based on self serving lies, and serve it all up to our young people in Native American Education classes, and in bunk, unresearched Native educational films across American and Canada, that the violence, death and destruction that follows AIM where ever they go, is somehow justified.
In a word, NO!!!
No, it is not justified.
These men with blood on their hands do not represent Tetuwan Lakota Spiritual Elders...no matter who in Hollyweird endorses them as such.
Murder is murder, rape is rape, and violence is still violence, and it is right up Hollyweird's alley, as long as Charley stays out of their homes...and, the intended beneficaries of this anti American ideal of "killing the pigs", "down with the Establishment" is anywhere else other than in their Hollyweird backyards or living rooms, as it was in 1969.
All this liberal justice given by Judge Nichols, so Pro AIM biased, with tea and cookies with Banks several months before the
Wounded Knee Trial... with Mrs. Nichol all gaga over the new budding Hollyweird celebrity.
Had to be the first one on the block to have one for tea..ugh?
One of the very reasons celebrities needs to stay in Hollyweird, and do their jobs to
entertain us, certainly not be the deciding factor in who becomes our US President, based on giving or not giving Peltier clemancy!
Peltier is where he belongs, and direly needs the company of his crew, "The Boys" of AIM to join him in his incarceration....
maybe Hollyweird can get a geriatric section at Peltier's homebase, so everyone can watch them all get old and die behind bars???

I come from the family who has protected the Sacred for over a hundred years, as the Thunder Beings do, and we owe much as Tetuwan people to the due dilligence and bravery of the Riegert's, and the Trimbach's recording of our true spiritual and historical events, whether or not academica embraces these two literary works or not, every student of American Indian History and the Smithsonian Library should have them on their shelves to balance the out all the lies which reside in the "Spirit of Crazy Horse", and the other publications glorifying and encouraging the belief that AIM did what they did, and still do to this day... for aboriginals in North America and else where in the world... to have self determination, and AIM's murdering violence is justified....are the biggest lies of all!
I was there, I know these people, their victims and their lies to cover up what they've done to their own people and supporters who didn't toe the line.
Read these books, and learn for yourselves, take the time to know what is still affecting you today by the rulings of these trials, and why this type of green light to violent extremists must not be allowed to continue.
I admire the bravery and integrity of the testimony of Mr and Mrs Robert Escoffey about the Anna Mae Aquash murder, and hope more Tetuwan people are encouraged by their example, to help solve what really happen and why, so the much needed healing of our people can begin in earnest.
Without the collective help of all of us, justice and honor will not be restored to us...not until Anna Mae rests knowing her murderers were stopped from the further hurting innocent people, and making a mockery of Tetuwan Spirituality.

A very good book, very unfairly portrayed by Amazon, with the negative AIM comments predominant, and the positive comments about the book, on the side resembling advertisement... rather than good responses to the book.
